Wait until you receive your check in October to' find out the exact amount of your increased payments. If in October your check shows no increase, the delay will be temporary—a later check uvill make up the difference. The above applies to those per* sons who are now receiving monthly payments.

Also under the new law persons 65 or over will be eligible for insurance benefits, beginning September I, if they have been paid wages of $50.00 or more in six or more different calendar quarters for work covered by social security. Roughly, this is a year and a half. There are a number of persons in Rappahannock county who can qualify for payments un« der this protection. No payments can be made until an application is filed. If you are 65, not receiving monthly payments, and have worked in covered employment and have been paid wages of at least $50 in six different calendar quarters, you should get in touch with the Social Security office in Alexandria.
