Always Necessary
Always there must fee rules fox; the smooth operation of any or* Sanitation, and the public school is no exception. In our schools we get our first taste of formal learn' ins which follows us all through, life. It is a never-ending process; and so is discipline. We learn discipline from elders, from jobst responsibilities, customs, and laws. Planning is necessary for intelligent rules which will make the school life a happier one for all concerned, and the persons who adapt themselves most readily to the learning and discipline of the school are the happiest and most enriched citizens of the school community.
Rappahannock High School will be faced with all of the problems of the old school and many new problems which are inevitable from combining forces to create a high school double the size of the former high school. Much, careful thought has been given by the schol authorities towards making this initial year a safe, sane, and successful one for your chil-, dren.
One of the rules, which has been unanimously agreed upon, is that of keeping the pupil3 on the school property and off the streets. The patrons of the school are earnestly solicited to give their support .towards enforcing this rule during school hours. Like all rules which endeavor to consider the best interests of the whole community, this one is not ironclad; but pupils definitely are _to_fW-4ise*>i«#ged ■from going -tog town unless it is absolutely necessary.
