Special Sweepstakes
The Sweepstakes Prize at the Flower Show at Speiryville school Friday, September 16, will be a1 hand-painted tray, donated by Mrs. Z. H. Sealock and painted by Mrs. L. J. Kilby.
It was decided to give this tray" as the sweepstakes prize to en-i courage everyone to enter as many different classes as possible.
The winner of the sweepstakes prize will be determined by adding the points earned on blue,' red, and white ribbons in the various classes. The holder of the greatest number of points is the winner.
Plants To Be Sold
At Flower Show
The Rappahannock Garden Club is making provision to sell potted plants at the Flower Show Friday at Sperryville. school. This is being done both as a service to anyone who has plants for sale, and also to make some money for the club. The club will receive ten per Cent commission on the sales.
A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Page County Education Association mourns the loss of a loyal member, Miss Margaret Atkins, for twenty-pight years h teacher in the Virginia Public Schools, twenty-three of which were in the Luray seventh grade; and,
WHEREAS, Miss Atkins waa endowed with a Jfracious personality, an exCeltpat spirrtf oT co-ofre- ^ ration and a deep devotion to duty, a whole-hearted interest in the school program, high professional standards; and,
WHEREAS, Miss Atkins was a superior teacher, respected by her pupils and fellow teachers whom she served tirelessly and,
