The Woman’s Society of Christian Service held its regular monthly meeting Wednesday nighlr at the home of Mrs» George W. Brown. "Health Through a Brotherhood of Nations” based on Scripture Lesson taken from Matthew 3:36 10:1 was the topic. Introductory remarks were made by Mrs. Nina Brown, with others of the group assisting in the discussion. During the business session it was decided to have at the next, meeting October 4, a celebration of the tenth anniversary of the W.S.C.S. with a special program. The meeting closed with a prayer by the leader.
SUSAN WOOD CIRCLE W£T ^ WITH MRS. LUCY CLATER
The Susan Wood Missionary Circle held its regular monthly meeting Wednesday night, September 6 at the home of Mrs. Lucy Clater. Rev. A. Paul Thompson led the devotionals. The topic for discussion was “Are you on a Diet” with Mrs. Clater as proJ gram leader. Besides the members, there were two visitors present, Mrs. B. P. Miller and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey. After the meeting refreshments were served by the. hostess. Monday evening a special meeting of the Susan Wood Missionary Society was held at the home of Mrs. W. H. Lyne. This meeting was held for the purpose of making plans for the Society to sponsor a home-talent play to be held in the Sperryville school auditorium in October.
