Flint Hill Home Demonstration club will meet at the honto of Mrs. * Frank Cary November 21 at 7:30 p.m.
The Flint Hill 4-H Club, Washington No. 2 4-H Club, Bell* Meade 4-H Club and the Sperryville No. 2 4-H Club met last iweek. All these clubs carried on their first project work''for the year. The Flint Hill 4-H Club girls are taking 3 projects this year. These projects are clothing construction, housekeeping and "So You Like tp Sew.” The girls taking Clothing ■ Construction, filled out record sheets and measured themselves for dress patterns. The Housekeeping girls learned how to make a bed hospital style, and made a dustless dust cloth. The girls taking “So You’d Like to Sew” were taught bow to thread a needle', knot a thread and hold a needle. They were also shown how to hem and for next time are supposed to bring in a sample of hemming. Washington No. 2 Club girls are taking a clothing construction pro-” tjefet this year and both BelDei Meade 4-H j jlub and' Sperryville No. 2 Club are taking “Housekeeping.” They carried on the same activities this month as did the Flint Hill club.
The Sperryville No. 2 club chose the following as club officers: President Evelyn Tyler Miller, vice president, Elsie Mae Jenkins, secretary and treasurer, Bobby Frazier; Devotional leader, Larry Dodson; song leader, Charles Jenkins; game leader, Elmer Foster.
The Amissville H.D. Club met at the home of Mrs. Joe Hitt, November 8 at 2 p.m. It was decided at this meeting to look into the idea of having a Rummage Sale in Culpeper or Warrenton, to make money for the club. Accomplishment sheets for the year were handed in at this meeting. Then a demonstration was given to the group on “Winter Bouquets.” Slides (were shown first on “Williamsburg Bouquets,” and then around 8 “winter arrangements” were displayed by" the agent. The hostess served the group very delicious refreshments at the conclusion of the meeting. ' Mrs. A. H. Buckner was hostess to the F.T. Valley H.D. Club, November 9. A very short business meeting,was carried on first, with the main emphasis put on chancing off a waxer. Mrs. Helen Bruce was the lucky person winning a Stan-' ley Home Waxer. Slides w&re then Shown on AWilliamsburg Winter Bouquets,” after which the agent displayed 8 winter Bouquet, arrangements.'' The hostess seised very tasty' refreshments, which! made a most delightful conclusion* for the meeting. ” ,
