Dear Editor i
We (wish to offer thanks to everyone in Rappahannock who made our visits occasions to be remembered. Southern hospitality and kindness have been everywhere apparent and we certainly appreciate our good fortune in making new friends. We hope that next summer many of you will be able to come to * Mount Desert Island where we have the Acadia National Park. The mountains pull up out of the ocean. There are fresh water lakes for fishing, trout streams, boats for sailing over the briny deep, and wonderful lobsters, clams and scallops for fodder.
Here we offer you pies made from local blueberries and of course, baked beans on Saturday night.
