MISS DOLLY HITE ADDRESSES

GARDEN CLUB MEETING

Miae Mary Elizabeth Hite was guest speaker at the meeting of the Flint Hill Garden club yesterday afternoon when Mrs. Norman J. Flythe was hostess to the club. Miss Dolly gave a history of the garden, from Adam and Eve's through the hanging gardens of Babylon, and down to some of the gardens of the old homes in the county;

Mrs. J. P. Cook and Mrs. Brue Wood took first and second prizes for the flower arrangements of the meeting.

The December meeting of the Flint Hill club will be held in connection with the Flint Hill community Christmas tree.

The meeting of the Flint Hill Garden club last month was held at the home of Mrs. J. P. Cook, when Mrs. Leslie Fox Keyser of Front Royal, spoke on the “Values of Gardening.” Mrs. Keyser was also the winner in a contest for placing names of flowers in proper places. -Prize winners on floiwer arrangements at this meeting were Mrs. R. H. Dulaney and Mrs. J. M. Settle, who tied for top honors.
