In co-operation with the County Health Nurse, the T-B association works hand in hand .with the nurse in finding cases'of tuberculosis.
The association also works with the nurSe in any way possible in teaching the home patients to take proper care of themselves and to protect their families. The patient is instructed in the process of isolation* such as preventing visiting in the patient's room except by the one caring for the patient or by the county nurse,, who makes regular visits to the home. The county nurse also trains the one who is caring for the patient,! teaches proper sterilizing of didhes and clothes, and instructs in the essentials of proper nutrition and healthy living to protect the rest of the family.
The T-B association again works hand in hand with the county health department in helping to plan and conduct community x-ray projects.
In complete and wholehearted co-operation with the county health nurse, the T-B association shares in the joy of all the benefits that come to the county through the services of the health department.
