USDA gives corn yields of 45 to 55 btishels for the following states, with comparisons of corresponding yields for 1939-48 avg. New Jersey, 50 bushels against 40.7 bushels; Ohio, 55 bu. and 48.3 bu.; Iowa, 50 bu. and 51.6 bushels; Virginia, 47 bu. and 30.8 bushels; Idaho, 45 bushels and 44. 2 busjiels; Washington, 52 bushels anct 45 bushels; and Vermont, 45 bushels and 39.5 bushels.
