The employees of the Virginia Department of Highways of the Edinburg Residency held a meeting at Elisabeth Furnace in the Fort Valley on Friday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m. in honor of P. D; Dennis of Flint Hill.

located at White PS* and was, the only employee vrho had, reached the compulsory age of retirement in the Residency.
B. D. Fleenor, Resident Engineer, acted as master of ceremonies. Three short talks wore given . by Misses Jean Sine, Betsy Funk and Mrs. OUre Borden. 8. D. Crute District Engineer, presented Mr. Dennis with a certificate signed fcy the Highway Commission in appreciation for his long faithful service with the Department. Mr. Dennis who has served the, Department for SB years gave a abort talk on soma of his experiences which was very interesting. The honoree was presented a gift from the employees.
