Special Appeal Made
For Flood Disaster Area
Word has been received by Mrs. D'. D. Miller, chairman of Rappahannock chapter, Red Cross, that the county’s quota is $75 in the $5,000,000 disaster appeal announced by President Truman.
Each chapter is being asked to meet their share of the appeal for-the disaster area in the midtwest.
This sum must be raised in the immediate future, as the need is great.

A Daily Bible School which was in session for the past week in Reynolds Memorial Baptist church presented the closing program on Friday monring at 10:30. The school was under the direction of Rev. A. Pavl Thompson of the Baptist church and Rev. Norman J. Flythe of the Methodist * church, assisted by the followihg Workers: Mrs. James F. Smith, Mrs. Jesse Clater, Mrs. Billy Brown, Mrs. Robert Clater, Mrs. James Atkins, and Miss Betty Welch. Seventy pupils were enrolled in the school and the gen-, eral attendance was excellent.
Four Enlist in Air Force
Billy Ramey, Warren Settle, and Robert Harrison of Washington, and Frank Goode of Flint Hill have enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Force and will report in Alex, andria for their physical examination Monday, July 30.

- Any ministers, or church historians, who have not as yet completed the histories of their churches, please do so as quickly as possible. 'Readers of Rappahannock News have expressed interest in the histories and are clipping them to save. The paper is anxious to publish the historys oT every one Of the 40 churches in the county.
