Connie B. Gay of “Radio Ranch’’; Arlington station WARL, will be master of ceremonies, and heading the hoard of judges will be James R. Denney of Nashville, Tenn., and the Saturday night radio show, “Grand Ole Opry.”
Though competition for prises will be among amateur or parttime hill hilly musicians, a number of nationally-known hill bjllies of radio and television fame will be on hand. Among them are the North Carolina Square Dancers of Asheville, ihe Saints and Spinners square dance team of Montgomery County, Md., the Stonemon Family old-time hillbilly band of Seat Pleasant, Md., Grandpa Jones of the Old Dominion Barn Dance, Richmond, and fiddlers Chubby Wise and Clayton McMitchon.

FIREMAN TRAINING CLASS WILL BE HELD TOMORROW
Charlie Jenkins, Assistant Fire Chief of Rappahannock Volunteer Fire Company, has announced a training class for tomorrow night, Friday, July 27, at 7 o’clock, to train anyone in the use of the pump on the fire truck. Anyone interested in learning to operate the pump is invited to attend the meeting.
The purpose of this mass training is to guarantee that in case of emergency there will be some one on hand who knows how to operate the pump on the fire truck. It is considered a disadvantage at present because so few know the method of helping in case of fire.
