Two farmers arrived at the home'of Mr. and Mrs. DoWning Wood on Monday, July 23, to learn the ways of farming in Rappahannock county.
Andre Lamiche, 23, is from Aisne, France. He is a graduate in . agriculture. His farm in France consists of 450 acres, located in the northern part of the country. The main crops are beets, potatoes, wheat, rape seed, and alfalfa. The farm also has an orchard. Mr. Lamiche speaks and understands English fairly well.
Rasmus Edvardsen, 26, is from Denmark. He reads, speaks, and writes English. Mr. Edvardsen attended elementary school for egiht years ‘and agriculture schol for six months. He is experienced in all kinds of work on a seed farm, producing grasses, legumes, and rots for seeds.
Before coming to Rappahannock Mr. Edvardsen was on a farm in, Michigan; Mr. Lamiche was on a farm in Ohio.
