Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown. In the afternoon they were joined by Mrs. Mildred M. Thornton and they visited Tony Thornton, who has recently returned to his home in Culpeper from University hospital.

Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett and Brooke Miller entertained at their home, “Greenwood,” for dinner Sunday, Mrs. Peggy Shelton, Henry L. Miller, and Brooke Miller. On Friday Mrs. Moffett and Mr. Miller had as their guests for the day Mr. and Mi?. Silas Miller Of Culpeper and Mrs. John L. Miller.
Charles Wood left Monday for Richmond, Petersburg, and South Hill. Mr. Wood expects to be gone until Thursday. Mrs. Lucy Wood accompanied her son as far as Richmond, where she will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. George Allen. Amenta Wood will visit her! grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Crabill at their home in Petersburg, returning home with her father Thursday.
Miss Millie Sisk’s house guest from Thursday to Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Sisk, were' her cousins, Misses Phyllis Sis* of Strasburg, Carolyn Brown of Sperryville, and Betty Frazier of Fairfax. On Friday Miss Sisk and her house^ guests spent the day at the zoo’ in Washington, D.C.
Joe Henry Aylor of Arlington spent the week end with his family at the Lee Highway hotel. Upon his return Sunday afternoon he was accompanied by Mrs. Aylor and their two children, who had spent ten days with Mrs. Ay-' lor’s mother, Mrs. Della Howard.
Mrs. Nora Kendall of Kensington, Md., returned to her home in Washington on Tuesday for a few days’ visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Turner, Mrs. J. Frank Jones, the Misses Becky Jones and Carolyn Gates Turner and John Turner attended “Faith of Our Fathers” at Washington, D.C., Friday, July 20.
Miss Joan Kelly Aylor ajid Miss Barbara Brown of Arlington spent the week end at their respective homes at Sperryville.
