JU you are ever caught without writing ink in the house or need a colorful dash for party favors, use food coloring. Pour a little into a dish or bottle and use it aal you do commercial ink.
Hollow concrete building blocks make attractive flower boxes. Just fill them with rich soil and the plants.
Next time your fountain pen. needs cleaning, unscrew the parts and soak them in vinegar. Rinse* fountain pen in lake warm water several times to make certain all vinegar is washed out, fill with ink, and your pen will write just as (well as when new.
When boiling eggs, if any are cracked add 1 teaspoonful of salt to tiie water, this will prevent the contents of the egg from boiling out.
Work seems to be progressing right along at Avon Mills and the grounds will be ready r&r the first concert, July 2d, I believe I am' right in giving this date, I heard it by way of the grapevine (we have a pretty good one) as yet, I have not seen the grounds myself, but from all reports wonders have been performed, and the people 6f Rappahannock are anxiously awaiting the opening of “The Blue Ridge Music Festival.” And don't forget, anyone having an apartment, house, or rooma to rent, just call Washington 2341 or 2528.
