WASHINGTON WATER SUPPLY BUILDS BACK TO RESERVOIR
With the water supply in the town reservoir hitting low during the recent dry spell, the citizens of Washington groaned when it became necessary to fall into the artesian well water reserve for the daily wetting of the whistle. Local citizens are badly spoiled about the good, soft water which comes from the large reservoir, and when the artesian well supply has to be used, they complain long and -loud about bow hard! the water is. Soap won’t dissolve right; dishes won’t wash shiny; and the water tastes! Someone actually reported that the water was not clean and that it was dangerous and might make everyone aick! Of course, ,the artesian well water is inspected at regular intervals and is exactly as it should be to meet health - specifications, but the citizens are eo spoiled to good wagpr that they howl at the change.
Happier days are in sight, however, for R. V. Snead reports that the rains of the past week have raised the level of the reservoir and soon it will be possible to be back with the soft water and everyone will be happy.

Rev. R. H. Scroggins has announced that the tent meeting, held annually, will begin Sunday evening, July 29, at 8 o’clock. The meetings will continue during the month of August. .
