For two years Olivia (Libbie) Litsey has been fussin’ and feudin' because she never could have a party; so, if on Wednesday, July 18, yon saw Wade Pullen’s big! truck loaded with hay and 20 kids, that was Libby’s party bn their way for a picnic on Skyline Drive.
The gay crowd of IT gals and three lone boys (but still- happy) had a wonderful . time roasting weenies .and seeing £ow much watermelon they could eat.
Mary Norman fed a prize for catching the first butterfly, and Evelyn Tyler Miller was given a prize for catching the first bug. Neville Wood answered the most riddles and was awarded a prize. Each and every guest won the bubble-gum contest for finding raspberries, which were promptly eaten by Mother Mildred.
Guests joining in the fun were) Mary Norman Davis, Nancy Wood, Neville Wood, Evelyn Tyler Miller, Carolyn Gates Turner, Sanh Umstot, Elizabeth Verner, Becky Jones, Lee and Molly Smith, Ann Litsey, and Frances and Alice Pullen. The three brave boys were Richard Tyler, George Davis III, ud David Litsey, Mia. William litsey, Mrs. H. L. Smith, and Mrs. Wade Pollen accompanied the track lead of childrea with band-aids and morthiolats.
