The Commissioner offers Help to those who may have trouble filling out the forms and issued a request that these forms be filed as early as possible.
The laiw, as explained, states that each owner set down a fair market value of the tangible and intangible property. It is noted that returns must be signed and a caution is given that any wilful misstatement is a misdemeanor.
March Of Dimes Drive J
Now Underway
Rappahannock County Chapter of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis will open its March of Dimes Campaign this week, and will continue througn the month of January, according to Mrs. T. CL Lea of Washington, county chairman. .
Due to the great number of cases of polio in, 1950 and 1951, the National Foundation is short ~0f funds, hence the drive has been extended for a month.
A square dance will be given at Rappahannock High School on January 26 for this drive.
Mrs. Lea has announced her district chairmen as follows:
Stonewall District, Mrs. C. B. s Johnson ; Piedmont District* (Mrs: ■ Lee Thornton and Mrs. Lee Gore; Hawthorne District, Mrs. Dyke Quaintanee; Wakefield District, Miss Ruth Stevens and Mrs. Paul Miller; Jackson District, Mrs. Leonard Barron; Hampton District, Mrs. T. C. Lea.
The goal set for Rappahannock county is $1,000 and Mrs. Lea requests everyone to give generously to this great cause so we can go over the top.
