Jonas Alther and Martha Alther were Monday evening: guests of Mrs. Ada Bruce in Culpepsr. • Mrs. T. C. Lea motored to HolLins on Wednesday to take her daughter, Miss Mary Massie, who is a student at the college. Mrs. Lea visited her sisters, Mrs. T. S. Williams of Amherst and Mrs. D. J. Thompson of Lynchburg 'before returning home on Saturday. Miss Lea visited, during the holidays, with her classmate, Miss Betsy Fuller, in Lynchburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Ennis Coons of Warrenton, spent New Year's afternoon with Mrs. E. A. Tapp.
Mrs. John Burke, and son Gene, Mrs. James Lillard, Elsie Mae Jenkins and Johnnie Jenkins were dinner guests New Year’s Day of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke.
