STATE INCOME RETURNS must be filed by every person married or unmarried, adult or minor who has for the taxable! (income) year 1951 a gross income of $1,000 or more. Thia return must be filed with the Commissioner of Revenue of Rappahannock County between January 1, 1952 and May 1, 1952, Early filing is earnestly recommended. If you have not received a form on which to file, you may secure one from your Commissioner of Revenue. The Commissioner of Revenue will be glad to assist you in preparing your return. You have not filed a legal return unless you sign it. If you and your wife are filing a joint return, both of you must sign even though only one had income.

CORPORATIONS, PARTNERSHIPS, OR GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES must file form 500 B. for tach^ person working for them in 1951 who made as much as $600. A copy of this form must be given to the employee, and a copy sent to the Department ?>f Taxation, Richmond, Virginia accompanied by form 500 A. on or before February 15, 1952.

All returns must be signed and any wilful misstatement ill a misdemeanor. Any delinquent return of intangible property or income is subject to penalties and interest. Failure to file a return of tangible personal property by May 1, 1952, after notice, subjects the taxpayer to a fine of not less than $20.00 or more than $100.00.
