A large number of volunteers from Rappahannock County assisted the Red Cross Staff. They were: Nurses: Mrs. Lee Thornton, Mrs. Frank Cary, Mrs. Virginia Lewis, Mrs. John S. Browning and Mrs. Carol Weddle. Nurses Aides were: Miss Minnie Williams, Mrs. George Taylor, Mrs. Alice Verner, Mrs. Ennis* Brown, Mrs. A. C.' Latham Sr., Mrs. D. D. Miller and Nannie Starks.

Hostesses were: Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr., Mrs. George H. Davis, Mrs. William Brown, Mrs. Jesse Clater, Mrs. Jessie H. Cox and Mrs. Rodes Brown Sr.

Registrars were: Mrs. James M. Settle, Mrs. John Wood, Mrs. C. J. Miller, Mrs. W. A. Miller and Mrs. L. J. Turner.
