U’.S.CS. MEETING
The W.S.C.S. of Washington Methodist Church met in the home of Mrs. Floyd Compton on Thursday evening with twelve members and three visitors present. The program, “O Tell Ye The Story,” was given' by Mrs. Grace Reid assisted by, Mrs. Gilbert L'pdike and Mrs. Virginia Estes.
A large l»ox of warm clothing is being sent to Church World Service for Korean refugees.
At - this--sweeting it was voted to - change the meetings from Thursday to Friday evening, following the 2nd Sunday. It was decided to have a Bake sale in the near future.
BIRTHDAY PARTY
Mrs. Louis>Corbin entertained the Junior Sunday School Class of the Flint Hill Methodist Church at a ♦ surprise Birthday Party for her daughter, Shirley, September 19. Among those present were Millie Sisk, Jean and Lucy Lillard, Mabel and Robert Riley, Doris Ann Atkins, Larry Carpenter, Russell Nicholson, Marvin R. Bedford Jr., Mrs. Car. son Lillard, Mrs. Robert Riley and Mrs. Paul Miller.
