and girls and the other was formal and had beautiful furniture in it. All the floors were covered with velvety rugs. They had many dishes from .their country, but the object that impressed me most was a big gold statue of Budda and at the entrance of this room there were two elephant tusks. There were two dining rooms which contained lovely china and furniture. The china was from their country. The bedrooms contained American furniture. The Siamese seemed to know how to combine the Oriental with the Occidental to create a comfortable, friendly atmosphere in their embassy.
