GARDEN CLUB MEETS
Wednesday afternoon, September 17, the Flint Hill Garden Club met in the home of Mrs. James M. Settle with Mrs. J. P. Cook, hostess. Eight members and three guests were present to hear Mrs. Gertrude Shadrack of Culpeper give a most interesting talk on slides, showing landscaping and shubbery.
IN HOSPITAL
Mrs. George Settle of Locust Grove, who entered the Warren Memorial Hospital last week »for treatment, has slightly improved. Her daughters, Mrs. C. P. Amory and Mrs. Warren Eastham of Shady Side, Maryland are staying some time at Locust Grove to be with Miss Kate Walker and near their mother. Mr. and Mrs. George Settle Jr., of Richmond and Sammy Settle of Parkersburg, West Virginia are also staying in the Settle home.
Birth Announcement
Mr. and Mrs. James W. Fletcher are receiving congratulations on the birth of a son, born Monday, September 22 at University Hospital.
