Memorial Windows
The Amissville Methodist Church will dedicate , on Sunday, September 28, at 11 a.m., six stained glass windows, given- in memory of relatives and loved ones of its former members. The window over the pulpit given by Mrs. J. C. Cropp, in memory of her husband, the late J. C. Cropp and her brother, Walter Pierce. This window depicits “The Sermon On The Mount.”
The first window to the right represents vThe Good Shepherd.’' given by the late Mrs. Ada M. Rowzie, in memory of her husband, J. M. Rowzie.
“The Ascension Window” was given by Thomas fcfackley in memory ' of his mother and father, James Hackley and Mollie Hackley.
“The Gethsemane Window” was presented to the church by the Woman’s Society of Christain Service.
The first window to the left, “Visit of The Wise Men,” was given by David \V. Silvey, in memory of his mother and father, Frances Anderson Silvey and J. J. Silvey.
The window representing “Christ In The Temple,” was donated by the children of the late F. M. Tapp, in memory of their father.
This service will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. Norman Flythe, at which time, the revised standard version of the Old Testment will be presented. j * i
