/ft Front Royal football field Friday night, October 10, Culpeper and Front Royal* high schools will clash, with the two undefeated teams battling to keep their record.
Many Rappahannock folks plan to attend to see their neighbors from east meet neighbors from the west.
Front Royal has already wrung victories from Strasburg, Waynesboro and Staunton this season with what is stated as the best team they have had in many a day.
Culpeper has defeated Manassas, tied with Highland Springs near Richmond, and won by a default from Falmouth. The Culpeper team J is quoted as one of the best teams in the school’s history.
As is often the case betWlen towns so close together, there is strong rivalry. The blood has been had between Front Royal and Culpeper since the days of the.fathers of most of the youngsters who play today. This makes for good games, but on several occasions .it has also made for * harsh words and ill-feelings. Football fans in Rappahannock plan to see what is expected to be a good, hard-played contest Friday night.
