Amissville News Notes
Mr. and Mrs. Tasker Woodward spent the weekend with Mr. Woodward’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Woodward of. Amissville.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ellmore of Amissville spent part of their vacation as guests of Mr. Ellmore’s mother, Mrs. E. M. Ellmore of Wilmington, Deleware. Other places of interest they visited were Rehoboth Beach, Ocean City and Strausburg, Maryland.
Dinner guests of Miss Mary Bruce on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Carter Day and family, Leroy, Allen, Mary Anne and Bobby of Calverton, and Mrs. Annie Grimsley^of Warrenton.
Miss Annie Laurie Bywaters, William Bywaters and Mr. and Mrs. Ollie Poe of Clifton Station were recent guests of Miss Laura Doyle.
Miss Virginia Tapp is on the sick list.
Edward Brown and friend of Washington, D. C. were week-end guests of R. E. Luttrell.
Mrs. Charles Compton, Mrs. John Tapp, Mrs. James Dovle and Miss Laura Doyle were in Charlottesville for the day Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Slavik were recent Washington, D. C. visitors. Mrs. William Latham entertained the Woman’s Missionary Society of the Methodist Church last Wednesday.
Mrs. Douglas Laing of Warrenton was a recent guest of W. A. Laing.
