Richard L. Jenkins is spending the week end with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Dodson* Mrs. Jade Atkins and son. Hill, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Dodson, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood were supper guests on Thanksgiving Day evening of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis at “Hawthorne.”
Mr. and Mrs. F. XX Coffey, Jr., Mrs Frank Coffey and Mrs. Harry Smith went to Conde Monday night for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rector. Mrs. Rector, who suffered a paralytic stroke recently, is greatly improved- The Coffey family has made grequent visits to be with her in the past week.
Lyle and Leon Rector were guests on Sunday night of Mr. and Mrs. Frank D. Coffey and their grandfather, W. N. Rector.
H. H. Aylor Jr. motored to Charlottesville on Sunday to meet Mrs. Aylor and small daughter, “Stevie,” who spent the week end in Lynchburg with Mrs. Aylor’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. "F. Edwards.
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood motored to Winchester Saturday to visit Col. and Mrs. Charles King at the Winchester hospital- On Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Wood were guests for supper of Mr. and Mrs. A- H, Keyser at their home near Washington.
Miss Lucile Brown who spent a week with her aunt, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, left on Friday for Norfolk. She was accompanied as far as Richmond by Mrs. William Meade Fletcher and her house guest, Mrs. Murat Willis, who was returning to her home after a visit at “Thornton Hill* vi
