Santa paid his first public visit to Rappahannock county Thanksgiving Day, when he was on hand to greet over 1500 people at Bradford’s Toyland in Flint Hill. The large, up-stairs floor at Bradford's was crowded all day whle Santa distributed 600 gifts to visiting youngsters. It was a gala day for the children and it was rumored that several grown people sat on Santa’s knee.
Mrs. John Lee Miller
Mrs. Dorothy Eubank Miller, 32, wife of Dr. John Lee Miller, of Culpeper, died Tuesday in a Charlottesville hospital- Besides her husband, she is survived by her father, Brantley Eubank, of Richmond, and three sisters, Mrs. Richard R. Hart, and Mrs. L. G. Coghill, both of Richmond and Mrs. Preston F. Shelton Jr., of Charlotte, North Carolina. Funeral servces were held Wednesday, December 3, at 2 p.m. at St. Stevens Episcopal church, Culpeper, with interment in Fairview cemetery.
INJURES KNEE
Bobby Atkins, a sophomore at R. C. H. S-, was accidently cut on the knee last week while at school This proved to be serious and very painful. He has been confined to his home since and treated by the doctor daily. ;
Bobby is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Hugh Atkins of Sperryville.
