Road Budget Approved
At Board Meeting
With all members present the Board of Supervisors approved the road budget for 1952-53 when Resident Engineer Coldiron was in attendance Wednesday morning, December 3, at regular meeting in the court room. Mayor Dorothy C. Davis presented the problem of necessary repairs on the Confederate monument in the Courthouse yard. This matter will be investigated with Chairman W. C. Campbell serving on a committee with town representatives to ascertain costs of repairs.
Sheep claims were paid to A. C. Latham and Daniel Coughlin. A. G Latham had lost 26 sheep, with other injured sheep still living, when a dog had got into the flock. Damages amounted to $520.00. Mr. Coughlin was allowed $30 on a sheep claim.
The board passed a motion to the effect that a certificate of rabies vaccination was not required when purchasing dog tags.
