Forest Grove 4-H at home of Dorothy Wood at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 1—Castleton 4-H at 12:30 at Miss Elsie Courtney's. Washington H.D. meeting at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2—Castleton 4-H at 12:30 p.m. at Miss Elsie Courtney’s Six 4-H’ers are attending State 4-H Short Course at V.P.I. this week. Those attending are Lelia Gentry, Betty Rutherford, John Turner, Kelly Updike and Newbill Miller. Betty Rutherford, the county winner of the Share the Fun contest, will participate in the State Talent Contest. ——Elizabeth Print* was hostess to the Forest Grove 4-H group. These girls planned an improvement they would like to make to their room. The group arranged Elizabeth's room for comfort and convenience. Sperryville H. D. group met Friday night as a result of the demonstration “textile painting,” the members stenciled place mats and a table doth. • v •- -■ y ;___ Mrs. Clarence Baldwin, hostess of the Fodderstack H. D. group on Friday afternoon. After the demonstration on textile painting the group painted table cloths and dresser scarfs. The Huntly bread project group made an excellent beginning a| their first summer meeting Monday morning ait the home of their leader, Mrs. B. W. Williams. The girls each made biscuits and then judged their product.
Mrs. Lois Snead, 4-H leader, demonstrated how to make a landscape plan for the lawn to the girls of Washington and Sperryville who are taking home grounds project.
The girls enrolled in Make and Remake in Huntly measured to select correct size paittren. These girls each plan to make a dress this summer. Mrs. Stanley Williams is their 4-H leader.
