Mrs. Robert E. Wood spent Monday in Charlottesville. Mr. s and Mrs. D. V. Chapman Jr. and son, David III and their daughter, Mrs. Fred Waring of Richmond were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman, Additional guests on Sunday of the Chapmans were Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Chapman and son Donald, of Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. George Hawkins anj daughter and son, Judy and Philip have returned after vacationing at Bethany Beach for the past week. Miss Peachy Lyne is spending some time with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Cottrell at Toano. Mr. and Mrs. James Thornton of Georgia, who have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Fletcher and other relatives here, have gone to Grundy where they will be guests of Mrs. Thornton's parents Mr. and Mrs. John Meade.
Mrs. Katherine Sealock Ridgeway returned to her home in Washington, D. C. after a visit with her sister, Mrs. George Browm. Their brother, James F.. Sealock, is quite sick in the Brown home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ashby Smedley of Zanesville, Ohio is visiting relatives in the county.
