FILM FESTIVAL HELD
IN FLINT HILL Each evening this week at 7:30, a film festival will be held at Flint Hill Methodist church. Tonight a film entitled “A Certain Nobleman” will be shown; Friday’s film is “Like A Mighty Army.” The public is cordially invited to see these excellent religious films. Each of the movies*, is recommended by the National Council of Churches of Christ in America. These films are being shown at the vacation Bible School in Sperryville. Adults are invited to attend these showings.
BAPTISMAL SERVICES Rev. G. M. Profitt announces that the Washington Baptist church will hold its baptismal services Sunday afternoon at Cooper’s Hole, at 4 p.m.
REYNOLDSMEMORIAL OBSERVES RECOGNITION DAY “DON’T SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO CHURCH — TAKE THEM.” Since the last Sunday School Recognition Day the Reynolds Memorial Baptist church has begun more and more to typify the spirit of this popular maxim. More interest is apparent as enthusiasm has heightened. Notable progress has been made in numerous respects.
On Sunday morning, June 28th, the Sunday School will observe another Recognition Day. The program, starting at 11 o'clock, will be a part of the regular Sunday School work. It will consist of activities that are actually a part of the Sunday School work.
Classes taking part in the program are: Beginners—Mrs. W. H. Lyne and Mrs. Anna Brown, teachers. - Primary—Mrs. Carson Johnson and Miss Lynn Updike, teachers. Junior Girls—Mrs. Martha Yates Taylor, teacher. Junior Boys—Mrs, Jimmie Atkins, teacher. Intermediate Boys— W. H. Lyne.
