Charles R. Brown Promoted To Sergeant '

7th Division, Korea—Charles R. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown, Sperryville* was recently promoted to sergeant while serving in Korea with the 7th Infantry Division.

Men of the “Bayonet” division are undergoing intensive training; to maintain the peak combat efficiency displayed by the unit from Pusan to the Yalu river. -*--•»

Brown, a squad leader in Company M of the 31st Infantry Regiment, entered the Army in October 1952 and has been in Korea since last May.
