Miss Lucy Ricketts left Saturday to resume her schooj duties in Amelia. C. H. Her many friends were glad to welcome her home for the holidays.
The Board of Supervisors met ——on Monday and re-elected Mr. .W. S. Mason, chairman. Mr. Mason has been chairman of the Board about fifteen years. , Messrs. H. G. Moffett and H. S. Menefee are in Richmond. The*latter, we understand, will be assistant to the newly elected clerk of the Senate. Hon. R. E. Byrd Jof Winchester was elected Speaker of the House, and Hon. Edward Echois, President. pro tern of the Senate.
Mr. and Mrs. R.. G. Quaintance and children have been recent f visitors of relatives here. (Bostcj* Va.) They returned to h——their home in Rappahannock, New Year’s Day. __
