Thirty ladies attended the District Home Demonstration Meeting in Culpeper on May 7. An outstanding speaker, Mrs. Paul White, gave a talk on Today’s Home Builds Tomorrow’s World. Other parts of program included selections by Culpeper band and, Culpeper Glee Club and also a play by Madison County H. D. clubs. Each county gave a skit or dramatized the most outstanding part of federation goal, Rappahannock portrayed an all women court scene in pantamine with Mrs. D. D. Miller as moderator. Those taking part in scene were: Mrs. Gilbert Updike—Judge; Mrs. Paul Miller, Commonwealth attorney; Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, Judge; Mrs. Dot Aleshire, Defendant; Mrs. Ann Aylor, Defendant’s lawyer; Mrs. Carl Carpenter, Clerk of Court; Mrs. Jack Pearman, Jury; Mrs. Les Walters, Jury and Mrs. J. P. Cook, Jury.
