Mrs. F. D. Coffey and daughter-in-law, Mrs. F. D. Coffey, Jr., went to Richmond Saturday to meet Pvt. F. D. Coffey Jr., of Fort Story for a week end visit m the home of Mrs. Coffey’s sister, M rs. May Goodman. Walter”" N. Rector attended the annual union meeting at the Thumb Run —Primitive Baptist church. Sunday.

Mrs. J. Rodes Brown and her house guest, Mrs. Mary G. Thornhill and Susan Brown were luncheon guests of Rev. and Mrs. A. Paul Thompson, Tuesday.

Elder and Mrs. J. H. Daily attended funeral services held for Mrs. Mabel Brubaker in Luray on Saturday afternoon. Elder Daily filled his regular appointment at Thornton’s Gap on Sunday morning and in the afternoon he and Mrs. Daily went to Thumb Run Church to attend

meeting.

Mrs. Annie Taylor Bruce who has spent the past three weeks in Front Royal with members of her family, returned on Sunday to the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. C. Ennis Brown.

Miss Mary Stark, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Lily Barber were business visitors in Culpeper on Tuesday. ___
