Pursuant to the provisions of a certain deed of trust executed by Charles L. Hoffman to James W. Fletcher and Ray T. Cannon, Trustees, who are authorized to act singly or jointly, dated - March 3, 1352, and recorded March 4, 1952, in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, in Deed Book 57, at page 340, to secure the payment of a debt therein secured, default having been made in the payment of said debt and at the request of the legal holders thereof (the ddbt and obr ^ligations-secured by said deed of .trust having been declared by the holders to be due an£ payable) the undersigned, James W. Fletcher, Trustee, havjng been requested to act by the holders of the said obligation, will offer for sale at public auction, to the highest bidder or bidders, at the front door of the Rappahannock County Court House in , Washington, Rappahannock County, Virginia, on Friday, Junje 4{ 1954, at 3 o’clock P.M. All that certain tract or parcel of land situate in Stonewall Magisterial District, Rappahannock County, Virginia, containing 50 acres, more or less, and being known as the “Compton Farm’’ of C. L. Hoffman. The said land is bounded by the lands of Brue Settle, the lands formerly belonging to Sallie Compton and now belonging to Bert Compton Scott, the road leading from Castleton to Estes, Virginia, and by the Hazel River. This is the same tract of land acquired by Charles L. Hoffman from Clarence D. Scott and Bert Compton Scott, by* deed1, dated March 3, 1952, and recorded March 3, 1952, in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 57, at page 338 et seq. - \
