Holds 160th Session

At Forest Grove

The 160th Annual Session of the Shiloh Baptist Association will be called to order at the Forest Grove Baptist Church, Viewtown, Wednesday and Thursday, August 4-5. The theme selected for this year’s mediation is “Worship.”

Rev. W. R. Snead will serve as moderator with Dr. J. P. Allen, Rev. D. S. Dempsey and Rev. J. Howard Cates deliyering ad-' dresses on the opening morning. At 11:30 Wednesday morning, Rev. John Houghton will deliver the Annual Sermon. Dr. Charles Harmon and Rev. J. P. Gulley will speak in the afternoon.

Thursday morning’s session will be highlighted by talks from Dr. Ray F. Hough, Sr., and James R. Bryant. The Memorial Service, with special music arranged by Mrs. J. R. Tinsley, will be observed Thursday afternoon at 1:25. A final inspirational address on “Missions” will be delivered by the Rev. L. C. Quarles at 2 :25 followed by adjournment at 2:55.

Family Reunion

The Red Oak Johnsons’ annual family reunion has been set for August 29, the fifth Sunday in ' August, according to C. E. Johnson of Sperryville. Due to the difficulty in reaching the: grounds on Red Oak; plans now are to meet at “Oak Hill.” Here there is a clear view of the old _home mountain*. Around 200 are expected at the reunion.
