A brilliant summer wedding was that of Edna Dennis West* daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford R. Dennis, of Castleton, to Mr. Samuel Watts Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Watts, of Philadelphia, Pa. on Sunday,' June' 27, 1954. The wedding was held on the palatial lawn at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Shenandoah Valley, beneath an arbor of ferns and white roses, at the home of the bride’s parents. The Rev. R. L. Banks of Culpeper, Virginia, officiated. The double ring ceremony began when Mrs. T. L. Jones, the bride’s aunt sang “Because,” accompanied by Mrs. Landonia Greenwood also of Culpeper. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was beautiful in a, gown of pink lace and nylon tulle, fashioned —with a fitted bodice of chantilly lace, short sleeves and a bouffant skirt with panels of lace. She carried a bouque-: of white orchids and babys breath with tiny white ribbons.
Mrs. Robert G. Dennis, of Castleton, was her sister’s-in-law matron of honor. She wore a paris blue gowrn of taffeta with an oval neckline and full skirt. Her headdress was of white linen and she carried a bouquet of pale pink, —blue and white daisies. Mr. Walter Williams, a Philadelphia teacher, of Mt. Airy, Pa., was best man.
