Ohio Calf Exhibit Selected
The exhibit of Virginia Feeder Calves to be made at the Ohio State Fair, at Columbus: late this month was selected Monday at the Culpeper Livestock yards by C. P.' McClaugherty, of the State Division of Markets; K. C. Williamson and George Litton, of V. P. *1.; and Allen Randolph, o£ the Virginia Beef Cattle Producers Association.
Twenty-eight calves were selected from forty odd head previously selected by the Culpeper and the Rappahannock Angus Breeders Feeder Calf Sales Committees. •These were moved to Mr. Loving’s farm near Culpeper for final weaning, feeding, and sprucing up operations.
Producers of the selection were;, James W. Fletcher, 9 head; Carlton Clore, 9 head; Mr. Sims, 4 head; Mr. Loving, 3 head; Brandy Rock, 2 head; and Bending River, 1 head..
Final selection of calves to go to Ohio will be made around 23 rd of August to consist of 23-25 head. After the calves get to Columbus twenty head will be selected for the exhibit to compete with others from elsewhere in the United States. Reports from Ohio at present indicate there will be from 4 to 6 lots in competition not only
