Manuel Franklin Walker of Rappahannock was convicted in County Court for non support and was sentenced to one year on the state farm. He appealed the case vening of Circuit Courtofficers we and was being held in the local jail until the conevning of Circuit Court.
Sunday Walker requested the priviledge of making a phone call and when he was being taken to make the call he broke away from the attendant and fled into the street slamming the door in the jailor’s face. He was located the same day by Commonwealth At-, torney, J. W. Price, Jr. and apprehended by Sheriff Critzer.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Woodward orf Amissville have opened a used furniture store in that community, in the building belonging to Mrs. A. C. Latham, which was formerly occupied by Wood’s Grocery Store.
