Besides being extra carerui wnwn behind the wheel, parents are urged to set a good example for their children in' everyday safety habits and to be firm in insisting on such.basic safety precautions as riding only in safe places, crossing streets or roads only at'intersections, knowing and obeying the traffic rules that apply to bicycles, and respecting policemen. Here are some specific rules for -* youngsters on bicycles that the safety authorities suggest should be taught in the home, as well as at school or wherever "children’s groups can be reached. 1.
