Washington—This is the season during which thousands of high school students from all sections of the United States visit Washington and observe the structures which serve .as tangible symbols of our form of government.
It would be an interesting commentary on a generation’s view of its elders in power if each young visitor could record his impressions of the Nation's Capital. The serene dignity of the White House rooms which are open to the public and the solemnity of the Supreme Court Chamber certainly would be found in sharp contrast in the memories of many with the impression of compounded confusion they formed at the Capitol.
