Honestly, if «e aren’t freezing to death, we are burning up, but after this past winter I will certainly pot be one to complain.
Louemma rode with me today to Culpeper and Warren tom We had a nice trip. The dogwood and red bud in the mountains and along the fence rows are gorgeous as well as the cultivated early flowering shrubs. The apple orchards are in full bloom and if bloom is a sign, there will be another bumper crop this year. According to the hikers who were on the Drive Sunday, the foliage or bloom is not out at all up there.
Our hats are certainly off to the ladies of the Rappahannock Gar-' den Club for the work they have done and for the wonderful job they wjill undertake next—that of landscaping the grounds tof our new Rappahannock County High Schoolj The silver offering taken at the flower show Thursday will go toward this work, so we hope everyone will attend and help out. There is a heck of a lot of ground to cover.
