Wool Payment

Growers who sold wool during ended March 31. are% reminded die 1959 marketing season which that Monday, May 2 is the final date for filing applications for payment under the national wool program.

H. S. Barksdale, Chairman of •the Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee, said that many applications have already been-filed but he believed that some wool and lambs sold have not been reported. Early filing of applications is desirable, he explained, because information on the applications is needed for computing the average price received by growers. This is needed in computing the payment rates for shorn wool and unshorn lambs.
