Heart Council Meeting
The Culpeper-RappahannockWarren Heart Council met in Washington, Va. on November 13 at the County Court House. Those present were Mrs. Paul Hounshell and Mrs. George Shelhorse representing Culpeper, Mrs. Lester Burke, Mrs. Downing Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller, Rappahannock. This council meets three times each year, in each of the counties represented. Information on the work of the Virginia Heart Association may be obtained by contacting any one of the mem. bers.

Miss Peffer Talks to RCHS Nurses Club
The two groups of the Future Nurses Club of Rappahannock County High School held a joint meeting Thursday at which Miss Mona Peffer of the staff of Warren Memorial Hospital was a guest speaker.
Miss Peffer, B.S., R.N., is a 1961 graduate of the Medical College Hospital of Richmond, and is now making her home in Front Royal. She gave the FNC insight into nursing as a career, reasons why they should, or should not, consider nursing, and the qualifications and education needed to become good nurses. She advised that, whenever possible, future nurses consider the four-year course that leads to a B.S. in Nursing, and a R.N., rather than the threeyear course of the Registered Nurses.
Miss Peffer’s services were procured by Mrs. Gladys Lewis of the Warren-RappahannockClarke Tuberculosis Association, which sponsors Future Nurses Clubs. The Association also aids in arranging field trips, and planning programs.
The RCHS clubs are sponsored locally by Mrs. John S. Browning.
