same numlx^ of calves next October as last, the total offering will be 1771-1790 head. Whether Woodmar, L. L. Voigt or Mrs. Alice Wood plan to sell in '63 remains to be seen. While neither of these herds sold ill: this fall’s sale, all three have put calves in the sale in recent years. They could further swell ’63’ consignments to around 1831-1851 head.
Tlfis year around 1300 head were delivered t6 the. market. The first calves were unloaded around 6:40 a.m. . . the fast calf was weighed around 8 p.m. No sale is receiving, tagging, grading, weighing and penning much better (if any) than 120 calves an hour, or two per minute’.
The sale has done well at Front Royal. Market personnel has been cooperative. Producers have been satisfied. No one wants to make a change. Change in anything creates probleMs.
Research indicates a larger sale benefits prices received. There will not be enough for two sales.
