small and in the long run may result in a big saving to the farmer. The Manager says that he does not believe that most realtors or many farmers in the county are aware of these provisions for predetermination of cropland. Also, he points out that cropland as defined in the marketing quota regulations may be vastly different from the conception of cropland as held by realtors, sellers, and purchasers of farms. He recommends predetermination of cropland acreages for subdivided farms for a number of reasons: (1) The realtor will be able to state the exact amount of acreage allotment which will go with a given tract of land. (2) The allotted acreage for any commodity may be known to the purchaser on the date of the sale. (3) Controversies regarding the division of allotment crops into several tracts will be avoided since the acreage distribution will have * been determined prior to the sale.
(4) Farm operators and county committeemen will not be burdened with the time and expense of county •committee hearings or review hearings involving misunderstandings of the distribution of acreage allotments.
