Visitor Honored
At Open House
Miss Ikuko Sakata of Kobe. Japan, was honored at an open house coffee Friday evening at the Episcopal parish hall in Washington. Hostess for the coffee were Mrs. Dabney Carr and Mrs. George H. Davis, jr. Miss Sakata arrived in this country January 10th from Tokyo and has been the house guest of Mr. and Mrs. Davis; She has visited in the schools of the county during her stay here.
Mrs. Davis showed slides she had taken Jn Japan on a trip last spring and Sfiss Sakata commented on them, bringing out interesting facts about that country, and answering questions asked.
Miss Sakata left Saturday for Emory and Henry College where she will enroll as a student at mid-semester.
